Bridgette Guerzon Mills' one-of-a-kind handbound Tree Books are especially made for those who have an affinity for trees. The covers are made from the bark of trees that fell in her neighborhood during a crazy wind storm. For two years they have been drying out, waiting to be transformed into a book, a vessel for mixed media creations on its pages, a sculpture to sit on your mantel? You pick!
Tree Book One measures 5 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches, 32 handmade pages (64 including both sides). There are two types of paper in this book- one is made from coconut fiber and the other a variety of grass. They are both highly textured. A brown leather strap is attached to the front cover and helps keep the book closed.
